Obituary of John M Walters

OBITUARY John M Walters, 94, of Cape May Court House passed away peacefully on October 26, 2012 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA and formerly of New York City, John has been a Cape May County resident since 1998. He served his country in the US Army during World War II. John was a War Correspondent for CBS News in New York City; and was a member of the Writer's Guild of America. He loved poetry and spent the last two decades writing, reading, teaching, and meeting with poetry groups locally. John published three books of his poems. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ann Geier in 2010. John is survived by his wife of 67 years Jeanne (nee Dorsey) Walters; his daughter Patricia Walters of London, England; and his granddaughter Heather Geier of New York City; his sister Juliette Daley; his niece Renee; and his cousin Miriam. His life was enriched by many friends: Tom, John, Nick, Gloria, Pam, Diane, Chris, Jim, Bob, Dick, Scott, Jen, Cain, Melissa, Wendy, Rita, Tammy, Kim, Malachy, Jim, Cheryl, Anne, Clare, and Dr. Ray.
