Obituary of Yvonne Heitz

It is with great sorrow the family of Yvonne R. Heitz announce her sudden passing on Friday, October 18th at Cooper-Cape Regional, Cape May Court House. Born December 16, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Roberta Rose. Yvonne began working as a telephone operator for the former Bell Telephone at the young age of 16. Her job included switching wires on the switchboard so that the party calling could be connected to the other party. After 39 years, Yvonne retired at the age of 55. In true Yvonne style, she did not slow down after retiring, if anything she lived up to her nickname "Gypsie". She enjoyed setting off on new adventures whether it was traveling to visit friends or just exploring and meeting new people whom she instantly befriended. Gypsie liked to have fun and enjoyed a good karaoke with her family and friends. She would get lost in writing poetry or spending time with any animal- her family would say she loved animals more than people because they provided unconditional love. Gypsie will forever be loved and missed by her son Art; granddaughter Krista; great-granddaughter Marley; life partner since 2011 Walt; and many friends who she considered family. As per her wishes, her funeral services and interment will be held privately and at the convenience of her family.
