Shaw, Purnell J., Sr., age 80 of Rio Grande, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020. Born in North Wildwood, Purnell was a lifelong area resident working as a roofer for George Frame Construction, a truck driver for Billows Electric, and a roofing foreman for Cape May County. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, especially his Harley, and enjoyed drag racing. Purnell is survived by his wife of 26 years, Judith Shaw, children Purnell J. Shaw Jr., Dawn (Adam) Bucher, Melodie (Tom) Sippel, Lindora Grant, Jason Shaw, Eric Shaw, stepchildren Raymond (Anke) Szwak, Jr., Terri (Doug) Hamby, 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and sister Pearl. He is predeceased by his sisters Isabel and Rebecca. At the request of the family, there will be no services. Condolences can be shared at www.EvoyFuneralHome.com.
