Theresa and Family,
I join with many who have known Phil in offering my deepest sympathy on his passing. I think a measure of an impactful life is the amount of sorrow and loss among those left behind. Phil, as a family man, a union leader, and an US Coast Guard Auxiliarist made a difference.
(And on a more personal level, I know Phil made an impact on my life- I will never forget the mornings and evenings that Pop, Phil, and I spend fishing at the Rockpile on 2nd Avenue.)
I hope and wish that you will find peace and comfort knowing the difference that Phil made in the lives of those he worked with and those he touched...

Phil, there are many memories that I have of you in gthe past 25 years. In recent times we have had a chance to talk and I am very proud of your honorable path. You were a soldier going into battle with your belief in God. I know you will continue as a warrior. I am happy to have had time to see you and talk with you this year. I have received strength from you.
