Richard W. Finch III, age 83, of N. Cape May passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Cape Regional Medical Center. He was born in Wilmington, DE and was formerly of Middletown, DE. He has been an area resident since 1991 and worked in Animal Control for DuPont Industries for over 35 years, retiring in 1991. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during WW II. Richard is survived by Florence Finch, his wife of 54 years; two daughters, Deborah Holzknecht and Brenda Fernandas; two grandchildren, Luke Holzknecht and Wesley Green; one great granddaughter Raine Isabella Holzknecht; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his son David Richard Finch. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Cape May United Methodist Church , 635 Washington Street, Cape May; where friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Burial will be at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House. The family suggests donations in Richard's memory to the Cape May United Methodist Church.
