I will always remember her smile and the peaceful times she had at the beach. Her love for her family was never endling. May her memories comfort those who love her.

My deepest sympathies to Betty's husband, mother, children and family. I know she will be deeply missed. I wanted to share with you about one life Betty touched. My son Aaron had Betty as his third grade teacher 16 years ago. Aaron struggled to learn to read. He repeated first grade, continued to struggle in second and by third grade he felt like a failure and his self esteem was very low. Betty recognized his gift in art. He started coming home excited saying things like "Mrs. Johnson needed a butterfly picture for her lesson so she asked me to draw her one because I am such a good artist." I began to see a change in him. His self confidence improved and so did his academics. I knew she looked for opportunities to let him shine. Im happy to say that Aaron just graduated from college with a 3.8 GPA in Graphic Design. I feel Betty had a large part in this accomplishment. I only wish I had thanked her for what she did for Aaron, before it was too late. God bless your family. Meg

Richie and I knew each other since grammar school. Spent alot of time at the Johnson household. I believe Richie and I were so close and had so much in common because we were raised by great mothers. Just to talk to Mrs. Johnson you could feel the love, warmth, and kindness of her. I loved spending time with them in the summer down in Cape May. Mrs. Johnson will truly be missed.

I will miss Betty so much. I met her when I rejoined our sorority in 1988. She was always cheerful and she sure loved her family. Even with all she endured she still tried to keep a smile and upbeat attitude. I miss you Betty and I will never forget you.

To Betty's family,
I had the pleasure of working with Betty for 6 years at Field Street School. As a novice teacher (at the time), Betty was always there to assist and support me. Her sense of humor was one of the many wonderful characteristics she possessed. She was a kind and patient teacher as well as a good friend. May she rest in peace in the arms of our Lord while sitting on the beach, reading a good book.

My thoughts and prayers are with Betty's family. Its always tough when a family members passes. All I can say from experience that time heals the heart lighens and profound sadness that you feel. Your happy memories will be in your mind forever. Betty was a special sorority sister and will be missed. She had a contagious laugh and always had a lot to contribute to our sorority. Her absence from our meetings will be sorely missed. Take Care. Linda

Rich her beloved husband, Children Richard, Darla and their families... We morn the passing your Wife, Mother, Grandmother and our wonderful Neighbor. Betty will be dearly missed by everyone her life has touched. Through her choice of profession where she touched the lives of a two town's worth of children her memory will continue in life. Their was nothing more prevalent than the smile on her face when amongst family and friends who all share in this loss full of wonderful memories that will last us a lifetime.
To Rich, know that that she will always be with you as you walk on the Beaches you two so loved to enjoy, and her smiles will always surround her kids and their kids in all they do, so proud of them she was.
To our Neighbors Darla, Vendel, Jacob and Joey, we are there for you as always in these tough times. Darla know that the time you spent with her by her side till the end, while tough, brought great joy to your mother as you comforted her on her journey to the afterlife. She was with those she so loved till the ned, as she will certainly be to our own end on earth to be reunited in eternity.
Bless you all... Brian and Trisha
